The festival aims to strengthen the relationship between Indonesia and Australia, particularly in the State of Victoria, by presenting Indonesia's potential in harmonious unity and fostering meaningful connections that contribute to a shared, prosperous future.

FESTIVAL INDONESIA 2026 PROGRAMS

Featuring the  Outdoor Festival and Business Forum, this year’s Festival Indonesia will showcase  the country’s culture, culinary, creative industries, and business opportunities while strengthening connections between Indonesia and Australia.

  • Festival Indonesia Business Forum serves as a bilateral platform to deepen Australia–Indonesia economic ties, promote bilateral trade, and attract investment across strategic sectors.

    This year’s business forum focuses on cybersecurity in an AI-based digital economy. This year, the business forum will collaborate with RMIT.

  • The Outdoor Festival at Festival Indonesia Melbourne celebrates Indonesian culture through arts, music, traditional performances, crafts, and cuisine. The event promotes Indonesian heritage while fostering cultural exchange between Indonesia and Australia.

ABOUT FESTIVAL INDONESIA

Festival Indonesia 2026 is an event organised by Festival Indonesia Incorporated (FI Inc.) working together with the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Melbourne, held annually in Melbourne, Victoria. It serves as a strategic platform to promote Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage and to showcase the country’s potential across three key pillars: Investment, Trade, and Tourism.

Established in 2005 and revitalised in 2022 after a ten-year hiatus, Festival Indonesia has grown into one of the largest and the longest-running annual Indonesian events in Melbourne, providing a prominent stage for Indonesia in one of Australia’s most vibrant multicultural cities.

Through its programs, Festival Indonesia supports the Indonesian Government’s efforts to promote inclusive and sustainable tourism, trade, and investment by directing attention to different regions and provinces each year. This approach strengthens people-to-people links, encourages new partnerships between Indonesian and Australian stakeholders, and contributes to long-term cooperation across multiple sectors, particularly in the State of Victoria.
